Every fire rated glass system on the market, including the one behind our own Iberi Series, was built as a commercial product: spec’d by architects and glaziers for offices, hospitals, and storefronts. Nobody built it for a home. I spent years pushing that same technology into the residential market, starting in Miami and now reaching clients nationwide, and this year, turned it into the Iberi Signature Series, to prove a code required door can also be a design statement.

What is a fire rated door, and do I need one for my property?
A fire rated door is tested and labeled to contain fire and smoke for a specific duration, typically 20 to 90 minutes. Florida building code requires them in stairwells, corridors, mechanical rooms, and other locations in commercial buildings and multifamily properties.
